Anxiously Intimate Group

Group of people sitting at a wooden table in a meeting or discussion, with notebooks and pens, in a well-lit room.

The group is designed to help men directly manage their anxiety with help from other group members’ insights, reflections, and personal experiences. There is no set schedule of topics or assignments, and direct advice is not a priority in the sessions. The focus of the sessions will range from participants taking time to share an experience and feel supported by others as well as larger group discussions on topics related to sex and anxiety.

Some topics may include:

  • How anxiety impacts your relationships

  • Exploring queer identity & same gender attraction

  • Working against expectations of masculinity and patriarchy

  • Practicing communicating needs and boundaries

  • Thoughts and feelings on porn and masturbation

  • Barriers to seeking support from other men

  • Consent: Hearing no and saying no

Current Groups:

  • Tuesdays 4:10-5:30 - Online with David Khalili, LMFT

  • Wednesdays 6:00-7:20 - In-person with Ryan Noble, LMFT
